Color PAC’s Value statement

endorsed candidates agree with the following:

• I believe that everyone has a right to an excellent public education -- and that policy changes must be made to a public education system that continues to disproportionately fail students of color.

• I believe in a justice system that ensures fair and dignified treatment of individuals.

• I believe in a clean and healthy environment and that we must protect our planet from climate change.

• I believe in a fair shot for working families, including access to a living wage and family-friendly workplace accommodations.

• I believe access to quality and affordable healthcare is a fundamental right.

• I believe in the right to safe and legal access to reproductive healthcare, including abortion, pre- and post-natal care.

• I believe in civil rights regardless of race, ethnicity, color, national origin, immigration status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression, physical or intellectual disability, health, income, language, political affiliation or religion.

• I believe voting should be free, fair, and accessible.

• Win or lose, I commit to strengthening the pipeline for progressive candidates of color by recruiting, mentoring, advising, or otherwise supporting at least one other progressive candidate of color in the following election cycle.
