On March 8, Color PAC Action Fund and our many sponsors Teamed up with The New Press to bring Steve Phillips, author of Brown is the New White: How the Demographic Revolution Has Created a New American Majority, to Portland.
Steve presented the premise of his book and the powerful data behind it. His message is simple: A progressive majority cannot exist without focused investment in and with communities of color. His book is a wake-up call to the powers-that-be that people of color need to be a central priority to win elections and our country’s future. Steve was joined on stage for an in-depth interview with former Oregonian reporter Melissa Navas and questions from attendees.
