Oregon State Director
Salary: $60,000-$70,000

Since our founding 6 years ago, Color PAC has grown steadily in size and scope. The organization has trained hundreds of community leaders and candidates, acquired cutting edge tech for grassroots campaigns, financially supported candidates of color across the state, and built the framework for a new kind of politics in Oregon. Today, Color PAC is taking an important step to grow capacity to support our mission across Oregon.

Color PAC is looking for an exciting leader to fill our new State Director position!  We seek a visionary person that wants to help build an innovative organization to amplify the voices, experiences, and expertise of communities we most need in public office. The State Director will work collaboratively with the Executive Director to implement the overall mission and vision of Color PAC in Oregon. This position is well suited for someone willing to roll up their sleeves and get into the magic of local politics by building robust programs that foster leadership and support multi-year campaigns to build effective decision-makers and lasting progressive change. 

Color PAC is on the leading edge of a period of staff and program growth. Our Oregon State Director will be someone that has a self-starter mentality and is proactive about identifying opportunities and potential for our program participants and the organization. 

We’re looking for a community-accountable leader who has experience running campaigns as a manager or candidate, training, writing campaign plans, targeting voters, and managing field. This person will have impeccable political judgement and a deep commitment to working across multiple municipalities to build majorities and pass local legislation.

This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits including health (medical, dental, vision) insurance, retirement, annual transit pass and paid vacation and sick leave. This position is based in Portland, Oregon with frequent travel within the Northwest. Flexible hours and telecommuting options.
